General tips on jewellery care:
- You should always take off your jewellery before exercising, bathing or showering.
- You should never store your jewellery in the bathroom or other damp places as the moisture can discolour or tarnish the jewellery.
- Your jewellery should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off when you get home. You should take your jewellery off before you go to bed at the latest.
- Do not let your jewellery come into contact with cosmetics such as creams and other chemicals such as hairspray, nail polish remover or perfume.
- It pays to keep your jewellery in a jewellery box or on a fabric base to avoid scratches. Our velvet pouches are perfect for storing your jewellery.
Cleaning your jewellery
It pays to gently clean your favourite jewellery every month. All you need is lukewarm water, a soft cloth and mild soap. For fancy jewellery with a lot of detail, you can use a soft toothbrush for cleaning. You can run the silver polishing cloth or toothbrush over the jewellery in gentle, circular motions to bring back the shine of the precious metal. It is important that your jewellery is completely dry before you put it back into the velvet bag or your jewellery box. The before and after effect is great and it costs little effort.
Storage
To prevent silver jewellery from tarnishing, you should store it in our pouch, gift box or travel bag and keep it as light and air-tight as possible. This way you will enjoy your real jewellery for a long time.
